The Senegalese Football Federation pays tribute to Pape Thiaw following his dismissal

A few hours after the announcement of his departure as head coach of the Lions of Teranga, the governing body published a message accompanied by a video to pay tribute to the work carried out by the Senegalese tactician.

Pape Thiaw’s time with the Senegal national team officially came to an end this 12 July 2026. However, following his dismissal, the Senegalese Football Federation expressed its gratitude to Pape Thiaw.

In a message posted on social media alongside a video, the Federation emphasised that the legacy left by the former Senegalese international will continue to inspire.

“Our paths part today, but the memories and legacy you leave behind will continue to inspire. We wish you every success in your future endeavours.
