A subdued arrival in the Senegalese capital.
Members of the official delegation of the Senegal national team who took part in the 2026 World Cup have finally returned to Dakar. They arrived on Tuesday 7 July, having been knocked out in the round of 32 by Belgium on 1 July.
According to Senegalese television, the delegation’s arrival on Senegalese soil was a low-key affair. There was no public fanfare or interviews upon their arrival at the airport. It should be noted that several players had already left the national team’s base the day after Senegal’s elimination.
