Senegalese defender Bouna Sarr of Bayern Munich has resumed training after a serious injury. On Thursday, March 7th, the footballer engaged in running exercises and ball work.

Recall that in December, Sarr suffered a torn cruciate ligament during a training session, which required surgical intervention.

Despite showing positive progress, Sarr's chances of playing this season remain slim. It is likely that his full recovery will not occur until summer.

The 32-year-old Senegalese, it seems, may no longer feature in the Bayern Munich squad in official matches. His contract with the club expires in the summer and is not expected to be extended.

Sarr joined Bayern in 2020 from Marseille but struggled to establish himself in Munich. Throughout his time, he has only made 33 appearances for Bayern, scoring one goal.
