On Saturday, March 2nd, the World Indoor Athletics Championships continued in Glasgow, Scotland.

Scottish athlete Josh Kerr won gold in the 3000 meters race. This marks the second world championship title for the British athlete.

With impressive support from the stands of the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, world champion over 1500 meters Kerr secured victory in a time of seven minutes and 42.98 seconds. He became the first Scotsman to win indoor world gold in 31 years.

The second place was secured by USA's representative Yared Nuguse (7:43:59), with Ethiopia's Selemon Barega (7:43:64) taking the third spot.

Just over six months have passed since Kerr stunned the reigning Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen and claimed gold at the outdoor World Championships in Budapest over 1500 meters.
