The release clause in Yamal's new contract with Barcelona has been revealed

Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has extended his contract with the Catalan club until 2031. But even this might not deter potential suitors from trying to sign the player. However, it won't be easy for them.
Details: According to Mundo Deportivo, the new deal maintains the one billion euro release clause that was established in September 2023. Notably, the contract also includes a bonus for every Ballon d'Or Yamal wins, should he achieve such honors.
Some of the player's demands already concern footballing matters and have been presented to head coach Hansi Flick. Yamal wants to be considered for set-piece and penalty duties.
But competition is fierce. Raphinha, Dani Olmo, and Ferran Torres are all specialists in both areas, while Robert Lewandowski is the team's regular penalty taker.
Reminder: In the season just concluded, Yamal tallied 18 goals and provided 25 assists in 55 matches across all competitions.
