“The real Milan is still a long way off”. Fonseca summarized intermediate stage of work at San Siro

AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca reflected on his team's progress ahead of their Serie A clash against Fiorentina.

Quote: "We still have a lot of work to do, and there are many strong teams with the same goal as us. Obviously, Napoli has an advantage as they are not playing in European competitions. They have a very strong coach and a very strong team. I'm not trying to put pressure on them—this is just the reality. Napoli is a real contender for the Scudetto.

We are in a growth phase. It's not a case of us having succeeded just because we beat Lecce and Inter. We need to keep improving. We are progressing, but we still have a lot to work on. The real Milan is not here yet; we need to do more to achieve success," Fonseca said.
