The Real Madrid legend has informed the club that he will leave as a free agent in the summer

The legendary center-back Nacho Fernández is entering his final weeks as a player for Real Madrid.

According to Marca's chief editor José Félix Díaz, the experienced player has already informed the club's management that he will not renew his contract, which expires in June. This means that Nacho will attain free agent status.

It is expected that Real Madrid will sign the young center-back from Lille, Leny Yoro, as Nacho's replacement.

Nacho is a product of Real Madrid's youth academy. He has been playing for the senior team since the summer of 2012. In total, Nacho has amassed 355 appearances for his hometown club, scoring 16 goals.

During his time at Real Madrid, Nacho has won 20 trophies. If Real Madrid clinches La Liga and the Champions League this season, Nacho will become the most decorated player in the club's history.
