The Spanish Sports Administrative Court has rendered a decision regarding the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales. Sanctions have been imposed on the Spaniard, barring him from holding any position in Spanish sports for a period of three years. This action stemmed from his kiss with Jenni Hermoso following his country's women's team victory at the World Cup in August.

Last month, FIFA's disciplinary committee made a similar decision, suspending Rubiales from "any football-related activity" for three years.

"This case is related to the events that occurred during the final of the women's football world championship on August 20, 2023, for which Rubiales was temporarily disqualified for an initial period of 90 days," stated FIFA's announcement last month.

Recall that the 46-year-old Rubiales forcibly kissed Hermoso on the lips after Spain defeated England in the final match with a score of 1-0 at the Women's World Cup.

Furthermore, after the match, a video emerged showing Rubiales celebrating Spain's victory, engaging in inappropriate gestures while standing next to the president of FIFA and the Queen of Spain.

This action prompted Rubiales to resign on September 10 after several weeks of pressure from players and the Spanish government. It's also worth noting that Rubiales has filed an appeal against FIFA's decision.
