La Liga president Javier Tebas may be removed from his post following a complaint from Real Madrid, Relevo reports.

It all started when Los Blancos felt they were discriminated against when La Liga entered into an agreement with CVC. According to this contract, the fund will invest nearly two billion euros to aid in the development of Spanish football. Clubs are expected to repay these funds over the next 50 years.

Meetings on this matter took place in December 2021, during which all decisions were made. Real Madrid believed they were not properly invited to these meetings and were not provided with sufficient information beforehand. All clubs from the first and second divisions of Spain, except Real Madrid, Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao, and Ibiza, signed an agreement with CVC.

Regarding the issue of the CVC agreement, La Liga has found legal support in almost all controversial aspects brought up by Real Madrid. However, the convening of these meetings and the way they were conducted are currently under discussion. The TAD meetings will take place on Thursday, April 18th, during the day. It will be known that same evening or on Friday, April 19th, whether they decide to suspend Javier Tebas or not.
