Former Mainz, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has received a state award.
Details: According to Bild, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier presented the German coach with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Quote: "However, success and fame have never prevented him from paying attention to each individual athlete and recognizing their personality," the statement reads.
Reminder: It was previously reported that the German Football Association is already considering a replacement for Nagelsmann if he decides to step down after the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Jürgen Klopp has been identified as the main candidate.
Klopp himself has broken his silence on this matter and assessed his potential appointment as the head coach of the German national team.
