The players of the Senegal women’s national team have finally received their bonuses for qualifying for WAFCON 2026
The payments were made on Monday 20 July, during the traditional ceremony to present the national flag to the Senegalese squad ahead of their departure for Morocco.
The Lionesses had been demanding these bonuses for several months, following their qualification for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations in October 2025. But before flying to Morocco on Monday, the Senegalese players received the bonuses they had been so eagerly awaiting.
Head coach Mame Moussa Cisse and his players finally received a double bonus corresponding to their qualification for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations as well as their participation in the tournament, which will take place from 25 July to 16 August in Morocco. According to the Senegalese press, each player received a sum in excess of two million CFA francs.
