With the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe at Manchester United, numerous changes were anticipated, including within the team itself. The new owner is not inclined to simply splurge money but aims to significantly strengthen the team to restore the former glory of the Red Devils.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe himself is prepared to explore all options for acquiring new players, and according to Sky Sports, the Manchester United owner is willing to sign documents allocating slightly over £100 million to acquire the young midfielder from Benfica, Joao Neves.

Joao Neves, a product of Benfica's youth academy, has been playing for various age categories since 2016. Last season, he began featuring for the first team and quickly earned a place in the starting lineup. Currently, the 19-year-old has appeared in 62 matches across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing three assists.

Should Joao Neves be signed for a fee exceeding €105 million, this acquisition could become a record-breaking deal in the club's history since the acquisition of Paul Pogba from Juventus.
