The National Hockey League is making its return soon, with the new season kicking off with European games on Friday, October 4.

However, there is currently a possibility of a lockout in the NHL. To prevent this, the league and the Players' Union are preparing for negotiations.

Details: According to NHL sources, they and the Players' Union plan to begin discussions in January 2025 regarding a new collective bargaining agreement.

Quote: "It would be great to resolve everything before the Stanley Cup Final of the new season, but we won’t set any time frames. Everyone will be happy if we can come to an agreement during the season," stated NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.

Reminder: In NHL history, the 2003-04 season was canceled due to a lockout, and the 2012-13 season was partially canceled as well.

Additionally, preseason matches are currently underway, and the Dailysports team has prepared a complete schedule and results for these games.
