Top Swiss biathlete Lena Haecki-Gross has shared her plans for the upcoming season, as reported by Sport.de.

According to her, the next World Championships will be the most important goal in the upcoming season. It will take place precisely in her homeland in Lenzerheide.

"I've put in a lot of effort in preparation, but I didn't expect to achieve such success right away. I knew I felt good and was in good physical shape, but I didn't think everything would go so consistently well this season," Haecki-Gross says.

She shared that at the previous World Championships in Nove Mesto, they were not in the best position in terms of equipment, which affected the biathlete's shooting. However, they will strive to prepare better for the next one.

"But 'Over-All' certainly outweighs my joy from the overall result because there were circumstances beyond my control. The upcoming World Championship in Lenzerheide will be the highlight of my career, and of course, we will strive to prepare for it as best as we can," added the Swiss athlete.

It is worth reminding that in the previous season of the World Cup, Lisa Vittozzi became the winner of the Big Crystal Globe.
