Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, 26, is an old-timer in the team, having been brought up there and playing for them since January 2019. But things could change in the summer.

The player is ready to be bought by Championship club Leeds, but The Mirror emphasises that the move will happen if the current leaders of the English second division formalise promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season. It is reported that Longstaff will cost Leeds in the region of £15 million.

Longstaff's contract runs until the summer of 2025 and there have been recent reports from the Newcastle camp that any player with a year left on his contract could leave if the club receive offers for him.

The 26-year-old centre midfielder has played 26 games for the Magpies this season, netting six goals and two assists. Transfermarkt values Longstaff at €25 million.
