The UEFA European Championship 2024 is still ongoing, but the new European club season officially kicks off today.

The first matches of the 1st qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League will be played. This round features the champions of countries with the lowest rankings in the UEFA coefficient table.

In the first match of this season's UEFA Champions League, Lithuanian champions Panevėžys will face Finnish club HJK.

Additionally, the following matches will take place today:

• Hamrun (Malta) vs Lincoln Red Imps (Gibraltar)
• The New Saints (Wales) vs Dečić (Montenegro)
• UE Santa Coloma (Andorra) vs Ballkani (Kosovo)
• Víkingur (Iceland) vs Shamrock Rovers (Ireland)
