The new contract for Nagelsmann with the German national team includes a very interesting clause

The new contract for the head coach of the German national team, Julian Nagelsmann, contains a provision regarding his departure from the position in case of an unsuccessful performance at the home Euro 2024 championship. This information is reported by Bayern & Germany, citing Bild.

According to this condition, if the German national team fails to advance past the group stage at Euro 2024, Nagelsmann's contract will be automatically terminated. In such a scenario, the German Football Association (DFB) will not be obligated to pay the coach his salary for the remaining duration of the agreement. The new contract with the coach was signed until 2026.

The German national team has been drawn into Group Euro 2024 alongside Scotland, Hungary, and Switzerland. Despite this condition, Nagelsmann has expressed confidence in a successful performance at the tournament and has agreed to this condition in his contract. The tournament will kick off on June 14 with Germany facing Scotland at home.
