The National Basketball Association has announced the commencement of voting for participants in the All-Star Game, as reported on the official website.

The voting period is set to run from December 19 to January 20. Fans can cast their votes on the official website and through the NBA app. The participants of the 2024 All-Star Game will be revealed on January 25. Fan votes will account for 50%, while votes from active players and media representatives will each contribute 25%.

The All-Star Game is an annual event featuring the league's top players. The first game took place on March 12, 1951, in Boston, during the 1950–1951 season. The All-Star Game is the culmination of the All-Star Weekend, primarily known for its spectacular show, where the sporting aspect takes a back seat. The games have been held 72 times.

The coaches for the All-Star Game are those whose teams in their respective conferences have the best winning percentage. However, a coach cannot participate in the game two seasons in a row. In the event that a coach is selected again, the coach of the team with the second-best record in the conference will lead the All-Star team.

It's worth noting that the 73rd NBA All-Star Game will take place on February 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
