Miami Heat has announced the signing of a two-way contract with guard Josh Christopher. The terms of the deal are not disclosed in accordance with the club's policy.

The shooting guard had an impressive performance in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Christopher helped his team win the tournament and was named MVP of the final game against Memphis (120-118). He recorded 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals in that game.

Throughout the tournament, he averaged 9.3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1.8 assists, with shooting percentages of 54.1% from the field and 52.5% from beyond the arc.

Last season, the 23-year-old player played for the Heat’s affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

For reference, last NBA season, Miami made it to the playoffs but was defeated by the eventual champions, the Boston Celtics, in the first round.
