The Miami Heat forward is getting further away from the Olympic Games
Serbian forward Nikola Jović of the Miami Heat is increasingly unlikely to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
According to Meridian Sport, the young Miami center sustained an ankle injury during one of his recent training sessions in the USA. Jović is currently suspected to have a broken ankle.
It is noted that the chances of the Serbian national team forward participating in the Olympics are close to zero. Even if Jović theoretically manages to recover in time for the Olympics, including him in the roster with an unhealed injury would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in insurance payments.
Last NBA season, Nikola averaged 7.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.
It should be noted that the Olympic basketball tournament in Paris will take place from July 27 to August 10.
