The point guard and leader of the Memphis Grizzlies, Ja Morant, will miss the remainder of the season due to injury, as announced by the club's official website.

The 24-year-old basketball player will undergo shoulder surgery and will only return to play at the beginning of the 2024/25 season. On Saturday, January 6, after a workout, he felt pain in his shoulder, and an MRI revealed a labrum tear.

Morant missed the first 25 games of the current season due to suspension. He showcased his skills on social media.

Upon Morant's return, Memphis won 6 out of 9 games. On average, he scored 25.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game.

Morant's dunk was among the top 3 highlights of the past year, according to the NBA.

After 36 games, Memphis is currently in 13th place in the Western Conference.
