Today was scheduled to host the match of the thirteenth round of the Bundesliga between Bayern and Union Berlin. The match was set to kick off at 15:30 Central European Time, but a few hours before the start, the owner of the Allianz Arena, where the match was supposed to take place, decided not to allow the stadium to host today's game due to heavy ongoing snowfall, as reported by the Bundesliga website.

According to Bild, the decision to postpone the match was made quite swiftly. It's currently unknown when this match will be rescheduled, but what is certain is that both Bayern and Union Berlin will have one game in hand after the completion of this round.

Munich is experiencing such heavy snowfall that the city is facing issues with air and rail transportation, as well as disruptions in public transportation services.

At present, Bayern holds the second position in the Bundesliga and regardless of the outcomes of other matches, they will remain in that position. They are two points behind the league leader, Bayer, and they maintain a five-point lead over their nearest pursuer, Stuttgart. Union Berlin, which demonstrated remarkable results last season by securing the fourth spot in the German championship, is currently at the bottom of the Bundesliga table. However, the competition in the lower half of the league table is so intense that a victory for the capital club could immediately propel them out of the relegation zone, securing the fourteenth position.
