The Manchester United striker still hopes to return to the team
Jadon Sancho remains excluded from Manchester United's lineup as he refuses to offer his apologies to the team's coach, Erik ten Hag. In a social media post, the forward accused the coach of making him a "whipping boy" for the failures of the "Red Devils." Although the post has been removed, the Englishman still cannot play for the team, yet he hopes to wear the United shirt again, as reported by Sky Sports Germany.
Sancho, who joined the English club from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, had his recent scandal with the coach, sparking rumors of a potential return to the German club. Discussions revolved around a swap deal that could have seen Donny van de Beek move to Manchester. However, there hasn't been any contact between the "Black and Yellows" and the "Red Devils" to discuss the terms.
Recently, ten Hag stated that he does not regret excluding Sancho from the lineup and has no intention of reinstating him, despite requests from other players. This implies that if the forward does not offer apologies, he'll have to seek another club.
Even if Dortmund agrees to meet United's demands, the player himself might have to compromise a significant portion of his salary, as the German club cannot match his colossal £350,000 per week earnings. It's reported that Sancho is utilizing his free time for training, but it remains unknown whether his efforts will be acknowledged by Ten Hag.
Jadon Sancho moved to Manchester United in 2021 for €85 million. He has played 82 matches for the "Red Devils," scoring twelve goals and providing six assists.
