The Mali Eagles have landed in Monrovia ahead of their match against Liberia in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers

Anthony da Silva’s side will face the Lone Stars on matchday 2 of the qualifiers for the next Africa Cup of Nations.

The Mali squad have set up camp in Liberia’s capital. The Eagles will be putting the finishing touches to their preparations ahead of the match, scheduled to kick off on Tuesday 29 September.

Anthony da Silva and his players arrive in Liberia brimming with confidence. They got their campaign off to a winning start on 25 September in Bamako.

Mali secured a 3–1 victory over Cape Verde at the Stade du 26 Mars in the opening match of their qualifying campaign for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. The Eagles will be looking to build on that result against Liberia on this second matchday at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia.

Meanwhile, Liberia are looking to bounce back after their defeat to Rwanda in Kigali. The Lone Stars will be keen to capitalise on home advantage to make amends.

Ahead of the kick-off, scheduled for 29 September at 7 pm GMT, Mali will be fine-tuning their strategy on Liberian soil.
