Bayern Munich continues to explore various coaching options to replace Thomas Tuchel, who will leave the team this summer.

According to Christian Falk, following the latest consultations, Bayern has narrowed down its choices to two candidates: Ralph Rangnick, currently coaching the Austrian national team, and Aston Villa's head coach, Unai Emery.

Bayern sees Rangnick as the ideal choice until the end of the previous season, especially if Xabi Alonso decides to leave Bayer. Alonso is reportedly Bayern's top candidate for the long term.

As for Emery, Bayern is impressed by his achievements as Aston Villa's head coach and his ability to succeed in cup competitions.

Earlier, it was reported that Bayern was close to appointing Zinedine Zidane as the new head coach. However, this information was later refuted.

Recall that this season, Bayern lost the Bundesliga title race to Bayer. In the Champions League, they reached the semi-finals and will face Real Madrid.
