Winners of the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the Senegalese national team has now returned home. Pape Thiaw and his delegation arrived in Dakar on Monday 19 January 2026.
An impressive number of supporters were waiting for them upon their arrival. But the most notable presence was that of the President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, his Prime Minister and members of the government.
It was a triumphant welcome worthy of African champions. After a few moments of conversation and congratulations, Sadio Mane and his teammates were escorted to their hotel.
