The Lions of Teranga arrive in Maputo for their match against Mozambique

Senegal has officially kicked off its training camp for the September–October 2026 international break.

The players called up by Patrick Vieira are gradually joining the base camp in Maputo ahead of the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Originally scheduled to take place in Dakar, this fixture was ultimately moved to Mozambique due to the unavailability of stadiums in Senegal. The Lions of Teranga will therefore face Mozambique at the Zimpeto National Stadium in Maputo on 25 September.

In the run-up to this match, several Senegalese internationals have already joined the camp on Monday 21 September. Among the first to arrive are Ibrahim Mbaye, Nicolas Jackson, Kalidou Koulibaly and Malang Sarr. Other players called up by Patrick Vieira are also expected to arrive to gradually complete the squad.
