The legendary Uruguayan defender, Diego Godín, has resumed his career and signed a contract with the Parangos team.

On the club's official pages, it was announced that the center-back has signed a contract until the end of the current season. It's worth noting that he announced the end of his career in the summer of 2023 but has now decided to make a comeback.

Godín has previously played for clubs such as Nacional, Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Cagliari, Atletico Mineiro, and Velez. Additionally, he has represented Uruguay in 159 matches, scoring eight goals, and won the Copa America in 2011.

He spent the majority of his career at Atletico Madrid. In August 2010, Godín signed a contract with the "Colchoneros." He made his debut for Atletico in the UEFA Super Cup match against Inter Milan. On May 7, 2019, he announced his departure from the club at the end of the 2018/19 season.
