Legendary tennis player Rafael Nadal will miss Wimbledon 2024. The iconic Spanish athlete explained that he has decided to compete only on clay until the Summer Olympics in Paris.

"During the post-match press conference at Roland Garros, I was asked about my summer schedule, and since then, I have been training on clay. Yesterday, it was announced that I will be playing at the Summer Olympics in Paris, my last Olympics.

For this reason, we believe it is better for my body not to switch surfaces and continue playing on clay until then. Therefore, I will skip this year's Wimbledon," Nadal wrote on his social media page X.

This will be the first Grand Slam tournament in 25 years where none of the "Big Three" will participate. Roger Federer has already retired, and Novak Djokovic will miss Wimbledon 2024 due to injury.

At the recent Roland Garros 2024, Rafael Nadal lost in the first round to Alexander Zverev, who eventually reached the final but was defeated by Carlos Alcaraz.

Wimbledon 2024 will take place from July 1 to 14.
