The legendary Nadal will play at the US Open for the first time since 2022

One of the most legendary tennis players in history, Rafael Nadal, plans to play in the last Grand Slam tournament of the season, the US Open.
According to Olly Tennis, the Spaniard will use a protected ranking to play in the main draw of the tournament. This will be Nadal's first US Open since 2022. Last year, he missed the tournament due to injury.
It should be noted that Nadal has not played at Wimbledon this year due to health problems, and at Roland Garros 2024, he lost in the first round to Alexander Zverev.
However, Nadal plans to participate in the Paris Olympics, where he will play not only in the singles tournament but also in doubles with Carlos Alcaraz, who won both Roland Garros and Wimbledon this year.
Throughout his career, Nadal has won the US Open four times: in 2010, 2013, 2017, and 2019.
Yesterday, Nadal started at the ATP250 clay court tournament in Båstad, where he defeated Leo Borg in straight sets.
