Experienced Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has hinted at an imminent departure from the London club. The 39-year-old Brazilian described his four-year stint with the Pensioners as "very good."

"My four years here have been very good. It's rare to see high-level players in the Premier League at the age of 39," said Silva, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Thiago Silva's contract with the Blues expires in the summer of 2024. It appears likely that the parties will not extend their collaboration, and the legendary footballer will depart from the Premier League.

It is worth recalling that Silva joined Chelsea in 2020, signing a contract until the end of the 2020/21 season with an option to extend for a year. He has stayed in London for four years. Alongside the Pensioners, the Brazilian won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup.

In the current season, the veteran has played 32 matches for Mauricio Pochettino's team, scoring 4 goals.
