Star Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozović has announced his retirement from the national team, as reported by the Croatian Football Federation.
The 31-year-old Al-Nassr midfielder fell just one match short of a milestone, ending his international career with 99 appearances for Croatia. Brozović scored 7 goals for the "Vatreni."
Brozović represented Croatia in the 2014, 2018, and 2022 World Cups. He was a key player in the 2018 and 2022 tournaments, where Croatia won silver and bronze medals, respectively.
Currently, the 31-year-old midfielder plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. On the club level, Brozović is best known for his time with Inter Milan and Dinamo Zagreb.
