Lazio's legend reveals the best position for the Nigerian player in the team
Lazio legend Bruno Giordano has given his opinion on the best possible position to occupy for Fisayo Dele-Bashiru with the team before their match against Bologna in Serie A.
Bruno Giordano scored 116 goals in 258 matches for the Italian team. Giordano noted that the best position for a Nigerian player is in the attacking midfield, where he regularly plays for his national team.
The Nigerian is a graduate of Manchester City School, and he contributed significantly and positively to the recent 3-1 victory over Venezia, but he scored only one goal this season.
The Legend of Lazio said about the abilities of Dele-Bashiru: “I think Dele-Bashiru can be a midfielder only in an emergency and is more naturally, as we also see with the Nigerian national team, a player accustomed to playing in the three-quarters, in case of absences in midfield he can be an alternative in case of various injuries”
Giordano revealed that Dele-Bashiru could serve as a valuable alternative in central midfield during times of injury, but highlighted the importance of tactical flexibility, mentioning that players like Matías Vecino can also play in an advanced role depending on the match situation and the coach's strategy
