The leader of the Clippers broke his hand in the recent match against the Wizards

The point guard for the Clippers, Russell Westbrook, suffered a fracture in his left hand during the recent match against the Washington Wizards (140:115).

Head coach Tyronn Lue stated that it is currently unknown how long the leader of his team will be absent.

"We don't know how long he will be out, it's unclear if he needs surgery or something else. But at the moment, he won't be able to play. We are trying to figure out the situation," - Lue said.

Interestingly, Russell Westbrook previously fractured his right hand in the second match of the 2014/15 season. He underwent surgery on November 1st and returned on November 28th, missing 14 games.

In the current season, the 35-year-old point guard has played 58 games, averaging 11.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists. Additionally, it is worth noting that the basketball player has been playing in the NBA since 2009. Previously, he has represented teams such as Oklahoma, Houston, Washington, and the Lakers.
