The leader of Dallas prematurely concluded the game due to injury

Dallas Mavericks' leader, basketball player Luka Dončić, was unable to complete the NBA regular-season game against the Lakers, ESPN reports.

The Slovenian player left the court with 6:46 remaining in the game. He tallied 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists, breaking his streak of seven consecutive triple-doubles in this match. As the coach reported, Doncic himself informed him that he couldn't continue playing due to strained knee tendons. It's currently unknown whether the basketball player will participate in the next game.

"He just signaled to me that he had strained knee tendons, so we took him out. We'll have the best answer. It's a fluid thing," said Dallas head coach Jason Kidd.

This season, Doncic has played 58 games, averaging 34.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 9.8 assists.
