The Japanese boxer passed away due to injuries sustained during the fight

A tragic story happened in the world of boxing. Unfortunately, 23-year-old Japanese boxer Kazuki Anaguchi has passed away. This information is reported by The Ring, citing the Japanese Boxing Federation.

The cause of death was injuries sustained during the title fight against Seiya Tsutsumi, which took place in the undercard of the bout between Naoya Inoue and Marlon Tapales.

During his last match, Kazuki was knocked down four times but managed to endure all 12 rounds. The judges unanimously declared Tsutsumi the winner.

After the fight, Anaguchi was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma, and he underwent emergency brain surgery, but the athlete never regained consciousness.
