The Ivory Coast women's team has made a strong start to its preparations for the 2026 African Cup of Nations.

Facing the Benin national team Saturday 28 February, the Ivorians did not falter. They took the lead in the first half of the match. Sery Grâce Ruth opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Konan Inès doubled the lead in the 29th minute. However, the match ended with a score of 2-1, as the Beninese managed to reduce the deficit.

This result will allow the Ivorian national team to continue working calmly towards their participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco from 17 March to 3 April 2026. Ivory Coast will soon play another friendly match against Kenya.
