The Ivory Coast women’s team have won their friendly match against Mali ahead of the start of WAFCON 2026

The Ivorians are continuing their preparations in fine form for the tournament, which will take place from 25 July to 16 August in Morocco.

The Elephants got the job done against the Mali women’s national team. The two sides, both preparing for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for this summer in Morocco, fought a fierce battle during this international friendly.

But it was the Ivorians who emerged victorious in this match, which was played on Moroccan soil. Sery Ruth scored the only goal of the match in the 42nd minute, securing a 1-0 victory for the Ivory Coast team.
