The Ivory Coast women’s national team secured a convincing victory in their friendly match

Reynald Pedros’s side thrashed the Africa Sports women’s team by a resounding margin on Wednesday 25 March.

Having been on a training camp since 23 March 2026, the Elephants put their tactics to the test. Facing Africa Sports, a first-division club in the Ivorian women’s league, the Ivory Coast national team comprising solely of players from the domestic league did not hold back. They crushed their opponents 8-0.

An encouraging result for Reynald Pedros and his coaching staff as they prepare the Ivorian women’s team for the FIFA Series ahead of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for next summer. During the FIFA Series, which Ivory Coast is hosting from 7 to 17 April in Abidjan, the Ivorian national team will face Mauritania, the Turks and Caicos Islands and Pakistan.
