Fiorentina have officially announced the signing of central defender Viery from Brazil’s Grêmio.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, the transfer fee amounts to €15 million, with an additional €2 million in potential bonuses.
The Italian club has bolstered its defense with a young talent who already boasts first-team experience in Brazil. For Viery, this move marks his first major challenge in European football.
Grêmio could also earn extra from the deal if the defender meets the bonus conditions. The main part of the transfer is already valued at €15 million.
Viery made 39 appearances and scored 2 goals for Grêmio’s first team. Now the 21-year-old centre-back will try to make his mark in Italian football.
Reminder: As previously reported, Lyon signed Salzburg midfielder Mads Bidstrup for €10.5 million plus bonuses, tying him to the club until 2031.
