The President of the International Ice Hockey Federation, Luc Tardif, confirmed the signing of a contract with the Canadian Hockey Federation for hosting the World Junior Championships.

The contract is valid until 2034.

It is reported that every two years until 2034, the World Junior Championship will take place in Canada, starting with the 2025 edition. Additionally, the 2026 Championship will also be held in North America, hosted by the United States.

The 2024 World Junior Championship concluded in Sweden on Friday, with the United States winning the tournament.
