The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has lifted sanctions on Russian boxing, as announced by RCC Boxing Promotions' CEO German Titov on June 22.
The decision to lift the sanctions was made in mid-June, according to Russian media outlet Сhampionat.com.
These sanctions were initially imposed by the IBF in March 2022 in response to Russia's military aggression towards Ukraine. Under the sanctions, the organization refused to recognize or sanction any fights held within the Russian Federation.
As a result of this decision, changes in the rankings are already taking place.
It should be noted that in 2024, the World Boxing Association (WBA) also lifted its sanctions on Russian boxing.
