Spanish police have arrested six burglars who targeted the homes of La Liga footballers, as reported by Reuters.

It has been revealed that among the detained are five men and one woman. According to police statements, they were found in possession of 10 timepieces, jewelry items, €3300 in cash, and two pneumatic pistols. The arrests took place on February 13, but were only made public this week.

The series of thefts occurred since July 2022 in affluent areas of Madrid and its surroundings. Among the victims were Colombian Radamel Falcao, who plays for Rayo Vallecano, and Rodrigo Silva de Goes, who represents Real Madrid.

The police also asserted that the suspects exhibited a "high level of professionalism." Currently, all perpetrators are in custody. The police are conducting investigations on charges of robbery with violence, one count of armed robbery, document forgery, and money laundering.
