Welsh club Wrexham, owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has secured promotion to League One. This earned promotion marks the team's second consecutive one. Last season, Wrexham won the National League (the fifth-tier division of English football), and this season, they will undoubtedly be one of the four clubs to move up from League Two to the division above.

In today's match of the 44th round of League Two, Wrexham hosted Forest Green, the division's main underdog. The encounter ended in a stunning 6-0 victory. Thanks to this win, the Welsh team, currently in second place in the league table, leads fourth-placed Milton Keynes by eight points. With two rounds left in the tournament, Wrexham has secured promotion, and next season they will compete in League One.

Interestingly, Wrexham returned to the third-tier division of English football after 19 years. The last time the team played in League One was in the 2004/2005 season.
