Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti commented on the words of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

At a press conference, the Citizens' manager said that his team is forced to play matches every three days before the match with Real Madrid, while the opponent, meanwhile, will prepare for nine days.

"We play Aston Villa next Wednesday, at 20:15. Then at 12:30 on Saturday. And on Tuesday we are going to Madrid. Real Madrid has nine days to prepare for our game. Nine days! They play this weekend and they don't have any matches before our game.

I just think: "Oh, just give me one more day! One day, and it's a big difference!" But there is no chance of that," said the Man City head coach.

Carlo Ancelotti responded to the Spanish specialist's words. According to the Real Madrid coach, such an interval and rest will not affect the game of the "cream".

"This is football, I'm happy with the nine days to prepare for the game against City. We have a slight advantage, yes. But it will not affect the game. We have time to prepare for the game, and we will do our best," Ancelotti said.

As a reminder, Manchester City and Real Madrid will play in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League. The first leg will take place in Madrid on April 9, with the return leg a week later on 17 April.
