On Wednesday, March 20, the draw for the group stage of the Olympic football tournament took place.
At present, 12 participants of the Olympic tournament are known: France, Argentina, Spain, New Zealand, Paraguay, Morocco, USA, Egypt, Mali, the Dominican Republic, Israel, and Ukraine. Four more participants, representatives of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), will be determined on May 3.
The groups for the 2024 Olympic football tournament are as follows:
- Group A: France, USA, Winner of the intercontinental play-off between AFC and CAF teams, New Zealand
- Group B: Argentina, Morocco, AFC 3, Ukraine
- Group C: AFC 2, Spain, Egypt, Dominican Republic
- Group D: AFC 1, Paraguay, Mali, Israel
It's worth noting that the football competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics will take place in Paris and six other cities in France from July 24 to August 10.
