The national teams of Slovenia and Denmark clashed in the first round of the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship.

Prior to this encounter, the teams had met six times in their history, with Denmark emerging as the stronger side on five occasions. This fact served as an additional motivation for the Slovenians.

Both teams were eager to kick off the tournament with a victory, considering the illustrious participant in their group and one of the main favorites to win the tournament, England.

In the 17th minute of the match, the Danish legend, Christian Eriksen, put his national team ahead, assisted by Vind.

In the second half, Slovenia desperately attempted to salvage the match, and their efforts paid off. Parity in the match was restored by Erik Janža.

And that's how it ended - a draw - 1:1. In the same group, England and Serbia will also play today. The teams will kick off their match at 21:00 Central European Time.
