The head coach of the team, Michel Sanchez, summed up the year 2023, expressing admiration for his players. His words were conveyed by Marca.

"We've concluded the year with 77 points. We've performed in the first half of the season at the level of the world's great teams. All fans will be proud of this," - said Michel.

Interestingly, in the previous season, Girona accumulated 49 points, which allowed them to secure the final 10th place. In the current campaign, the Catalans already have 45 points, and in the upcoming matches, they might surpass their club record for the number of points obtained in the top tier of Spanish football.
