German referee Felix Brych got injured during the match of the twelfth round of the German Bundesliga. This was reported by Kicker.

The match between Eintracht Frankfurt and Stuttgart, which ended in favor of the guests, marked Brych's 344th appearance in the Bundesliga. Thus, he reached the same number of appearances as Wolfgang Stark, who achieved this milestone in May 2017.

In the second half of the first half, the 48-year-old referee twisted his ankle and his right knee. Brych held on until halftime, after which he was replaced by the fourth official of the match, Patrick Schwengers, who was making his debut.

There's no official diagnosis yet, but Brych himself told Sky that he suspects a torn cruciate ligament. If his concerns are confirmed, he won't be able to officiate matches for some time, delaying the solitary record indefinitely.

It's worth noting that this isn't the first time the German referee couldn't finish a match. The last time it happened was in August 2017 when Brych officiated the match between Cologne and Hamburg (3-1).
