The General Director of Fiorentina has passed away

The General Director of Fiorentina, Giuseppe Barone, has passed away, as announced on the club's website.

It has been disclosed that this occurred on Sunday, March 17. Giuseppe Barone had been battling a severe illness, but unfortunately, he succumbed to it at a hospital in Milan.

"Rocco Commisso and his family, Daniele Pradè, Nicolas Burdisso, Alessandro Ferrari, Vincenzo Italiano, Cristiano Biraghi, and the entire Fiorentina community are devastated by the terrible loss of a person who dedicated his high professionalism, his heart, and his passion to these colors, a sensitive friend who was always there in both the happiest and, above all, the most challenging times," the statement from Fiorentina reads.

It is worth noting that on Sunday, Giuseppe Barone was admitted to San Raffaele Hospital in Milan with a diagnosis of "cardiac arrest." The General Director of the "Viola" was placed on life support.
